About the artist:

Štefan Galvánek studied art in Europe, and after moving to Toronto, he continued his education at the Ontario College of Art. His work has evolved from traditional figures in the 1960s, through anamorphic distortions in the 1970s, to his latest works that combine figures with landscapes and rituals. His pieces are in collections worldwide. Štefan is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists and the founder of an art school in Toronto. He teaches drawing and painting at several institutions and has countless exhibitions to his credit.
